General validation errors

Date format error: Dates must be entered in the following format: mm/dd/yyyy. For example: 05/01/2006.
Q Shouldn't it be 5/1/2006? No error dialog. Auto complete in the date field.
Editing the month date field. Month must be between 1 and 12.
Date format error: The month value must be between 1 and 12.
Day must be between 1 and 31.
Date format error: For March, the date value must be between 1 and 31.
Q Do the dates vary depending on the month?
