User's mental model of adding Kind aspects to content items
The unimportance of email
Users add "Communications", not email characteristics to items
Email or IM attributes are attached to an item as the "transport protocol" wrapper once an item as been "Sent" (ie. C(e) or C(im))
As a result, the transport protocol (email or IM), instead of being the primary way in which people identify, describe and organize their information is deprecated in Chandler to be simply a detail, an attribute of an item. The technology of transportation is subordinate to the content of the information item.
Communications items are essentially Notes that have a From: and To: field
Assigned tasks
Event invitations
Disseminated resources
Communications may or may not have been transported via Email / IM, they may simply be records of verbal, phone communications
C(e)+T: Task that has been assigned via email. NOT an Email that is also a Task
C(e)+Ca: Event invitation thas has been sent out via email. NOT an Email that is also an Event.
C(e)+Ct: Contacts that have been shared via email. NOT an Email that is also a Contact.
C(e)+R: A resource that has been shared via email. NOT an Email that is also a Resource.
T+C: Tasks that have been put on the calendar. NOT An Event that is also a Task.
R+T: A resource that is a task (ie. A powerpoint presentation I have to finish)
R + Ca: A resource that is the subject of a Calendar event (ie. Meeting about a specification)
