dogfood redux

Trying again, this time I am building my calendar by hand instead of importing (just for grins). svn 7586

  • some problems editing overlapping mtgs Bug:4207
  • created a recurring event (yearly, a birthday) and ran into some awkwardness
    • double click in allday area created event
    • edited in place to create title
    • chose "yearly" from occurs
    • clicked out of detail view and got "all or one" dialog
    • didn't expect the dialog the first time I was editing
  • moving events from calendar to calendar is a pain without having the detail view affordances ready
    • in the short term, could we do something with menus? with a detail view drop down?
    • in the short term, this makes building a calendar sorta painful -- either dragging events around or you have one calendar selected and can't see the events that are only in "my calendar"
    • slowness with dnd feedback makes it pretty painful

  • off-the-wall (probably bad) idea: what if you had a whole calendar that "recurred weekly"?
