I. Announcements
- A dog policy is now under consideration, as we have a good amount of dogs around now.
- Mechanism for raising issues anonymously. Mitch and Freada have done this before. Jurgen has put together an anonymizer so the KKIE folks can send issues to Mitch or Freada anonymously. Mitch commits to responding to non-trivial requests, with the expectation that there won't be trivial requests. Jurgen noted that it's impossible to make things truly anonymous if it's internal, so Jurgen tested a set of external anonymizers. The one he choose requires one to close an ad window before one can submit a comment.
- A coming change to the Status Manager: Right now if you have a plan but don't do anything to edit or change it, then it just rolls over to the next week. It's thus hard for the reader to know if a plan is an old one that hasn't been acted on or a new plan. When Morgen checks in his change, the old plan won't be automatically be carried over.
II. Data Model Project
We've had a data model project for quite a while. A consensus developed that it would be good to have a data-model clean-up project -- to make someone responsibile for addressing open issues, tracking status, and driving open issues to resolution. By extension, it became clear that it made sense to have a data model project. Bby universal acclimation, Ted is now officially in charge of the data model project.
III. Inter-group coordination
We're continuing to refine the focus on other inter-group issues. Wiki (the library project) is another one.
IV. Demo
We're going back to weekly demos. A demo of the new build system is definitely on the horizon. In two weeks the apps group hopes to have more UI to demonstrate.
There's been a big project to transition from wxWidgets from 2.4 to 2.5 and to deal with related build changes. Chandler is now on wxWidgets 2.5. Jed's gave a few bullet points of what's improved.
