Notes from All Hands Meeting Jan. 22 2004

I. Milestone build. This week's build has some issues relating to Lucene. Not surprising, given the complexity. Morgen will be working on it this afternoon. A few comments followed on the complexity of the Chandler builds. Mozilla complexity is in part due to the number of platforms. Chandler complexity comes from the number of different pieces on which we are dependent.

II. We had a set of demos, which are listed below. Pieter tried filming the demos to see if the quality and coherency is good enough to make posting them worthwhile. We'll take a look at the results shortly.

• Andi did a demo of recent repository progress

• Ted showed the beginnings of the Busy Developer's Guide to the Repository" Ted will send the URL to the dev list when the first draft is ready. This would make a good topic for the Office Hour.

• John showed current state of applications in Chandler

• Pav demo'd the state of the Notification Manager.

III. Mitchell talked some about the open source licensing world, the various licenses and some of the best known players. I was talking during this, so didn't take notes

IV. The next milestone (in 2 weeks) is our feature freeze for the 0.3 Release.
