Recap from Tues design session

• Session went well overall.
• Formulating a proposal will help us make some decisions.
• Next actions:
  • Put together PPD proposal for Beta and 1.0 strategy - send to the list for feedback.
  • Mimi and Priscilla will talk to BCM tomorrow (Thurs) to follow-up on some specific questions.
  • Sheila will send out notes to the list with next actions.

Cosmo planning next actions

• Go through the stickie plan for the Casual Collaborator
• Prioritize feature list - pick candidates we could defer from Beta - Search, Quick Item Entry.
• Consider option to only support events for Beta - this would eliminate a number of costly work items.
• Perhaps some of the infrastructure can be done sooner but not expose this in the UI.
• Less worried about server work that UI stuff - too many stickies.
• Next actions:
  • Update stickie plan wiki page with comments from today's discussion.
  • Talk to Ted about getting realistic scope for some of the smaller items - is it really 1 stickie or is it only 2 days.
  • Work with Ted and Priss to breakdown the items which support different types of items - how much work for Bobby vs Matt.
  • Present a proposal to the list.

Chandler desktop Alpha5

• Are there any changes to the dashboard spec or stamping specs?
• Some potential updates to the dashboard
  • Bryan has a proposal for the date column for Alpha4
  • Once the edit/update is working this proposal won't work.
  • Issue is that according to the spec - check for next or last important date depending on where you are in time.
  • Need to check for prioritization of important dates - tickler vs sent date
  • Bryan can do part of this - implement something simple first.
  • Mimi will talk to Bryan further about this but our plan is to go with the simple solution for Alpha4 and we will work on options for Alpha5.

• Sidebar is another open issue
  • Meeting Friday to resolve this.

• Email
  • Discussion with BKirsch today about stickie plan items on planning page.
  • Sheila will try and finish the Beta email spec.

Dashboard demo for staff meeting

• Sheila is supposed to be doing this at some point.
• Demo of the PPD task list where we share the triage status as well.
• Once we figure out when this will be presented Mimi and Priss can help put together the data.

Portal update

• Request to Jared for a new wiki area called OSAF - we can probably change the name of this later.
• Talk to Jared to see if that will be integrated the tagging stuff.
• Matthew had done some work on the style sheets for the wiki - cleaned up the logo.
• Setup a meeting with Jared to discuss where we left off with the style sheets ( Priscilla will do this).

Design list

• Other than the weekly summary is there anything we need to summarize?
• Annotations - for changes to an item - Priscilla will send something to the list (should send this out in the next week).
• Mimi - persona profiles. Started but will probably pass that off to Priscilla while she is on vacation.
• Mimi will respond to comments re: the dashboard.

Status

Sheila

• Progress
  • Started working on consolading all the Cosmo roadmap items. Put together journal page to track progress.
  • Updated Desktop Alpha5 and Alpha6 detailed planning pages
  • Working with Mimi to gather all info for remainind desktop specs
  • Met with Jared to review hosted service plan, Cosmo dependencies and metrics.
  • Helped resolve some outstanding design list discussions
  • Update on portal project - move forward with request to create new wiki area
• Plans
  • Will continue working with Ted/Priscilla on Cosmo planning and roadmap.
  • Go through all old desktop calendar bugs and figure out what is done/not done/deferred
  • First draft of CSG report due by Friday
  • Email spec - 1st draft
  • Email 1.0 discussion with Brian K, Philippe & Mimi
  • Updates to Beta sharing spec
  • Work on visual for consolodated Beta roadmap

Priscilla

• Progress
  • Merge Scooby/Cosmo content into Cosmo Home wiki page. First draft is almost done and ready for review before the end of this week.
  • Work with Sheila/Mimi on next steps after the Cosmo target users design session
  • Need to follow up with updating the Scooby 0.3 specs to Cosmo 0.5 - no progress on this yet, but will start before the end of this week.
  • D/F write ups - need to gather my monthly notes together and bug filed for Chandler
  • Interview write ups

• Plans
  • Continue working with Ted/Sheila on Cosmo planning and roadmap.
  • Continue working with Ted to plan a more accurate Cosmo 0.5 release date
  • Working with Sheila/Ted and follow up on next steps of the Cosmo roadmap. Sheila’s Cosmo stickie plan
  • Still working through the punchlist of non-developement tasks, sent it to the list and updating my progress
  • Somewhere down the line I have some 'sharing' storyboards I'd like to work through with Mimi.

Mimi

• Working through Date column issue with Bryan Stearns and Jeffrey. Will update spec when we finalize an approach for Alpha 4 and beyond.
• Putting together persona descriptions that came out of Cosmo Sprint.
• Checked in new icons for Sidebar collection overlays and sharing status.
• Pulled together wiki pages for reamaining Beta and 1.0 specs
