Meeting Notes for Design/Engineering 0.5 Calendar Spec Walk-Through

* Toolbar

  • Initial feedback is that aligning the toolbars to the panes below is difficult.
  • Fixed spaces would be easier.
  • One possibility is to have the toolbars within the panes, then if we hide the sidebar, the toolbar disappears.
  • Revisit toolbar native look and feel.

* Developers expressed concern that we have removed the list view for calendars.

* Week/Day view

  • Developers suggested a resizable area for the anytime events. I think that Mimi would like to stick to the expand/collapse scenario.
  • We need to print expander version of anytime area. (added to Spec).
  • Day view - would be nice to display side by side events to show overlap and conflicts.

* The development team is going to accomodate having the detail view on the right side for calendar and on the bottom for other items. This is very easy to do and they expressed some concern about having it on the side for items such as mail.

* We also wadded into the kind filter discussion. The dev team was briefed that this may change and discussions will be ongoing for the next week.
